Novice Team del Sol competes in the third-highest synchronized figure skating IJS level. The athletes range in age from between 13 to 17 years old. The team’s mission is not only to compete strongly in the division, but also learning skills necessary to move into higher levels of execution and performance within synchro. Indeed, the Novice Team was created to challenge previous Intermediate skaters, after the team placed 5th at the 2019 National Championships. Since then, Team del Sol has made a competitive impact on the Novice division for the 2019-2020 season.
Requirements (based on USFSA guidelines):
- 12-20 Skaters
- Must be under 16, with the exception of four skaters who may be 16 or 17
- Juvenile Moves in the Field Test (Novice preferred)
